Building on the success of last year's conference, we are announcing some program enhancements for the 2012 conference that include:
- In-depth, deep-dive workshops and educational sessions on intervention, addictions and co-occurring disorders;
- An expanded conference track devoted to prevention of violence and mental health and substance use.
- An enhanced program for facilities owners and managers including a Behavioral Healthcare Executive Summit preceding the NCAD 2012 conference that addresses relevant and timely topics such as: healthcare reform, financial management, operations management, workforce development, and healthcare information technologies;
- A technology pavilion on the exhibit hall floor that features hands-on education and demonstrations of the latest technologies including mobile apps, distance learning, and tele-counseling;
- A comprehensive resource and media center with access to the latest publications, websites, and research materials.
The NCAD Advisory Board is determined to develop an educational program that addresses diverse addictions and relevant issues. Your proposed presentations should be interactive, feature a program, service or initiative that is practical, replicable, and demonstrates measurable outcomes. We welcome presentation proposals that are suited to our educational foci, which include but are not limited to:
- The prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery support of addiction disorders
- Counseling and clinical skills development
- Addiction Studies Education
- Multicultural issues faced in addiction treatment
- Healthcare systems and technology trends and solutions that improve business operations and patient care
- Professional development, business, and workforce administration management and operations including:
- process management
- performance based accounting and accountability
- career development
- community based services
Benefits of Presenting at NCAD:
- All presenters (2 presenters maximum per session) will receive a complimentary full conference admission. Full conference admission includes access to all educational sessions, networking events, meal functions and receptions. (This does not include pre-conference workshops that require additional fees).
- Promotion of your credentials in electronic and print marketing materials
- Recognition of your expertise by other industry professionals
- Access to all educational sessions and verified accreditation by the conference organizers
- Networking opportunities at the conference
Presentation Formats
The NCAD Advisory Board will be accepting presentation proposals that accommodate the following formats:
- Pre-Conference Workshops: (2/3/6 hours in duration)
- Plenary/Keynote Sessions (1 hour)
- Educational Sessions: (90-minutes, including question and answer segment)
- Video/Films — Film review sessions (film and interactive session) must be at least 60 minutes in length (A copy of the film must be mailed to NCAD by January 20, 2012. Contact Jbelon@vendomegrp.com for shipping instructions.)
Notifications of acceptance will be sent in February 2012.
